They are senior students who have been carefully selected and trained by the University to live in the dormitory and support its residents. You can approach these fellow residents with any worries or concerns that you find difficult to bring up with your professors or other university staff. You can also suggest ideas to your RAs and collaborate with them on event and SI programs organization to make dormitory life even better. RAs are senior students that you can count on. WISH offers unique experiences not available at any other dorm in Japan, such as our cultural exchange events run by both RAs and residents, as well as our SI programs which support career development and personal growth. Our largest events, such as the WISH BBQ bring together hundreds of RAs and residents for a jam-packed day of fun. We’d love to have you on our team - help us plan and make these events a reality by becoming a Resident Supporter! Our World Breakfast Tour, hosted by RAs and residents of various backgrounds, offers a unique opportunity to experience food and culture from around the world. WISH’s SI programs is a chance to meet and learn from leaders in various fields; career The role of RA extends far beyond support for daily life; should you want it, RAs are here for advice on studying, circles, and student life. For major events such as Halloween and Christmas, we recruit resident supporters to help us with event preparation and execution. Most of all, however, we are excited for you to experience daily life at WISH: conversations in your unit living room, midnight runs to the convenience store, cram-studying with friends the week (or night) before exams, chilling in WISH’s multiple lounges - all are a chance to create lifelong friends from all over the world. We RAs are here to support you through all of this: your studies, relationship troubles, integration to the community, we are here for you as you experience WISH’s exciting and dynamic daily life. WISH is waiting for you!In addition to assisting with the hosting of SI programs, RAs serve as mentors during group discussions. There are also SI programs planned by RAs, residents, or a combination of the two. In the past, these have included career seminars, study abroad information sessions, and internship workshops.
