- Difference of each dormitory

Waseda University operated Waseda University student dormitory.
Operated and managed by Waseda University. Special features unique to this type of dormitory include educational programs. -
Kyoritsu Maintenance operated Waseda International Dormitory and Recommended Dormitory.
This type of dormitory is operated in cooperation with Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd. In order to provide piece of mind, services such as meals, and the supply of household furniture are available. -
Waseda University Property Management Co. operated Eespoir Mejiro student dormitory.
Female only student dormitory. Now not only Waseda University students, but also local and international undergraduate and graduate students from other universities live in this dormitory. -
Tokyo International Exchange Center
Some private lodgings, such as the Tokyo International Exchange Center, accept applications for residence through the University. When there are vacancies, an announcement will be made only through the Waseda-Net Portal (when there is no information on the Net Portal, it means that there are no vacancies). However, only regular postgraduate students can live in this facility. -
Campany Housings
Owing to the goodwill of Japanese companies, we are able to offer the staff dormitories to international students. All staff dormitories consist of single rooms. Compared to other places, dormitory fees and meal (breakfast and dinner) fees are at much preferable terms. However there are some conditions for entry, such as most applications are only open to singles, men and there are curfews which must be abided by.

- When is the deadline for the dormitory application?
The details of the deadline are announced on our website each time. Please pay attention that we will not be able to accept Online Request Form after the deadline under any circumstances. Please get ready to prepare the necessary documents beforehand as such official document as latest income certificate may take some time to be issued.
Students may apply for multiple student dormitories ONLY when you choose one of the dormitories operated by Waseda University (i.e. WISH (Waseda International Student House), Higashi-Fushimi, and Ichijima Kinen Sendagi) as your first preference and choose either Waseda University International Dormitories (WID) / Waseda Recommended Dormitories alternatively. No other combination of multiple applications will be allowed.
*Once you are admitted to one of the dormitories operated by Waseda University (i.e. WISH (Waseda International Student House), Higashi-Fushimi, and Ichijima Kinen Sendagi) of your choice, you MUST move into that dormitory. You CANNOT choose a Waseda University International Dormitory (WID) / Waseda Recommended Dormitory over a dormitory operated by Waseda University. If you are selected for a dormitory operated by Waseda University, but have applied for Waseda International Dormitories (WID) / Waseda Recommended Dormitories at the same time, you will have your payment made for Waseda University International Dormitories (WID) / Waseda Recommended Dormitories refunded by Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd. Admitted applicants from the waiting list will have the initial payment returned after being deducted the fixed cancellation fee.
*Please be forewarned that applying for one of the dormitories operated by Waseda University (i.e. WISH (Waseda International Student House), Higashi-Fushimi, and Ichijima Kinen Sendagi) via Online Request Form will NOT automatically guarantee you a room in the dormitory. Therefore, it is strongly recommended for you to apply multiple dormitories in the manner stated above to secure your accommodation in one of our student dormitories, if possible.
